Supt Gets Paid Leave While Poway Unified Board Conducts Audit

The Poway Unified School District board is conducting an audit, which has led to paid administrative leave for Superintendent John Collins.

Associate Superintendent Mel Robertson is serving as acting superintendent until the audit is completed.

According to Pomerado News, board president Michelle O'Connor-Ratcliffhas not given any details about the audit or the leave, but said she and the board are hoping to have it finished quickly.

Collins earns about $300,000 annually, plus benefits. His contract with the district is set to expire June 2017.
