Colton School Board Fills Key Vacancy

The Colton Joint Unified School Board has filled the Area 3 Trustee seat that was left vacant by the April resignation of Kent Taylor.

Former CJUSD educator, principal, and language support services director Bertha Arreguin took her oath of office on Thursday, May 23. She will serve out the remainder of Taylor’s term. An election for the seat will be held in November of 2020.

CJUSD has been mum on the reason for Taylor’s departure, as has the Lennox School District in Los Angeles County where he also resigned as superintendent.
