Charter Oak Superintendent Resigns

Charter Oak Unified Superintendent Mike Hendricks has resigned, the San Gabriel Valley Tribune reports. School Board President Jeanette Flores announced the embattled school chief’s departure last week.

“We will move forward as a district,” she told the publication.

No reason was given for Hendricks’ exit. But he has been the focus of some criticism. His proposal to sell part of Royal Oak Middle School’s 42-acre campus came under fire and was ultimately voted down by the Board.
