Tuberculosis Case Hits Modesto School
Parents and teachers of Grace Davis High School in Modesto have been alerted to a case of active tuberculosis in one of the school’s students, KCRA reports.
Staff and students who shared a classroom with the patient will undergo testing on campus.
School officials say the window of exposure has now passed, so employees and kids should not be worried about coming to school.
Tuberculosis is a potentially deadly bacterial infection. It is spread person-to-person through tiny droplets dispersed into the air by an infected patient.
