Vista Unified Superintendent Placed On Leave

Vista Unified Superintendent Dr. Linda Kimble has been placed on leave effective immediately, officials announced Wednesday. Assistant Superintendent of Innovation Dr. Matt Doyle will carry out her duties until a permanent replacement is selected. That is expected sometime later this month.

VUSD did not give a reason for Dr. Kimble’s departure. The district’s announcement states it is confident that Dr. Boyle’s “experience and passion for our students, staff and community will provide a smooth leadership transition.”

Dr. Kimble joined the district in January of 2018.
