Schools Facing Increased Threats Since Saugus

In the wake of a school shooting that left two people dead and several injured in Santa Clarita, a number of California schools have been grappling with a rise in shooting threats.

Some of the threats have hit the same district where last week’s carnage occurred. Authorities have confirmed “multiple” false plots at the William S. Hart Union High School District which includes Saugus High School, the site of the shooting.

Others are further away. Wilson High School in Long Beach received a threat on Friday. On Monday, it was Carson High School, Whittier Christian High School in La Habra, and San Dimas High School. Carson and San Dimas went on lockdown, while Whittier Christian was forced to cancel classes. A 17-year-old has also been arrested for making threats against Ramona High School in Riverside.
