Upland Unified Superintendent Stepping Down

The superintendent of the Upland Unified School District (UUSD), Dr. Nancy Kelly, has announced her retirement after a six-year run. She will step down in June of 2020.

Dr. Kelly’s list of accomplishments is long. She is credited with turning around district finances, increasing college eligibility course completion rates, the launch of the Foothill Knolls STEM Academy of Innovation, improving student wellness, and more.

“What Dr. Kelly has been able to accomplish with her team is truly remarkable, and we’ve been fortunate to have her as our superintendent. She arrived during a difficult period for our district, and quickly proved to be the right person at the right time,” said Upland Unified School District Board of Trustees Vice President Linda Angona.
