First Grader Hosts Bake Sale to Pay Off Classmates' Lunch Debt

This is the season of giving. And on that front, one five-year-old in Vista, California is giving ol’ Saint Nick a run for his money.

KTLA reports that Katelynn Hardee, a first grader at Breeze Hill Elementary School in San Diego County, just paid off her classmates' school lunch debt by selling cookies and hot cocoa outside her home.

Katelynn’s mom says she raised enough to pay off the lunch balances for 123 students in her district.

She received an award from her school for her incredible act of kindness. Now, her story is inspiring others to pay it forward.

Way to go, Katelynn!
