More Than a Dozen High Schoolers Suspended for Race-Based Fighting in Menifee
Fifteen students at Heritage High School in Menifee have been suspended and could face expulsion after fights that are believed to have been racially motivated.
The Perris Union High School District is still investigating. Principal Erika Tejeda addressed the incidents on Facebook.
“Heritage High School does not tolerate fighting, bullying, or racially motivated incidents of any kind,” she wrote. “The safety of students and staff will remain my number one priority as the principal of Heritage High School. Along with my administration team, we are looking at various methods to improve the ways in which we address student issues before they escalate to fights.”
