Covina-Valley Superintendent Resigns
The superintendent of the Covina-Valley Unified School District has resigned. Trustees accepted Richard Sheehan‘s resignation Tuesday evening, days after Glendora police announced an investigation into alleged misconduct involving students.
Sheehan will remain on paid administrative leave until June 30 when his resignation takes effect. LAist reports that he “will be paid any ‘unused and accrued vacation,’ and will also receive ‘an additional lump sum of $46,464.96.’”
Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services Elizabeth Eminhizer is serving as Acting Superintendent until a permanent replacement is selected. Read more about Eminhizer here.
