San Jacinto Unified Names Next Superintendent

After considering some 31 applicants for the job, the San Jacinto Unified School District has chosen its next superintendent. David Pyle, Superintendent of the Nuview Union School District, was selected by the school board Friday, May 1. His contract is expected to be ratified Tuesday.

“For the past eight years, I have admired San Jacinto as a neighbor while serving Nuview USD, and I am beyond humbled for the opportunity to serve within the San Jacinto Valley, excited for what is to come in our time together,” Pyle said in a statement.

San Jacinto school board President John Norman described Pyle as an energetic relationship builder with a history of successful financial management and emphasizing student success.

Pyle will replace Diane Perez, who stepped down in December. He takes over on June 1.
