Corona-Norco Unified Superintendent to Retire
Michael Lin has led the Corona-Norco Unified School District for the past eight years. On Tuesday, Aug. 4, he announced his tenure would be coming to an end.
Lin is retiring this fall. It’s a decision he’s been weighing for some time, but delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
“Dr. Lin has accomplished so much in his eight years as superintendent and has always surrounded himself with very talented people,” said school board President Mary Helen Ybarra. “…From interacting with all his employees, regularly visiting schools, being relatable and compassionate, he has empowered people toward excellence.”
Corona-Norco is the largest school district in Riverside County. Lin was appointed superintendent in July 2012, having previously served as superintendent of human resources and deputy superintendent.
