Special Needs Students Can Return to Class
Special needs students, including those with disabilities and English language learners, will be able to return to classrooms for live instruction under new guidance from the state.
The new rules limit the number of classrooms to 14. Staggered schedules where different groups of students come on different days is also an option. There is to be no mixing between student groups.
School closures have been especially difficult for special needs students, as many of them need hands-on learning to progress. The state is home to some 760,000 students with special needs.
