Board Member Arrested For Drug Possession

Merced police have confirmed the arrest of Los Banos Unified School District board member and defense attorney Dominic Falasco.

Falasco was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for a traffic violation. The driver was on probation and under legal order to submit to police searches.

“During the search, officers found methamphetamine in the truck and Mr. Falasco admitted that it was his and had some more methamphetamine on his person,” said Capt. Bimley West.

The search also returned marijuana and hashish. Falasco has been booked on several misdemeanors, including suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of concentrated cannabis and possession of less than one ounce of marijuan

The prominent criminal defense attorney has been a Las Banos board member since being elected in 2012.
