Some Districts Vote For Parcel Taxes, Some Don’t
A few results for the May 3 elections.
Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District was trying to get Measure A passed, which would continue the $49 parcel tax. With more that 70 percent of the vote, it looks like they were successful in getting the 2/3 votes needed.
The $131 parcel tax for Brisbane School District also received the 2/3 vote with little more than 70 percent of voters approving Measure B.
However, voters failed to pass both Measures A and C for Menlo Park City Elementary School District, which would have continued a $201 parcel tax and increased a parcel tax by $2.20, respectively. Both measures received less than 60 percent of votes, failing to meet the 2/3 votes requirement.
