San Jacinto Unified Superintendent Resigns
Wednesday’s San Jacinto Unified School District board meeting was met with a key departure. Superintendent Diane Perez tendered her resignation, citing personal reasons.
Perez had been with the district for 15 years and served as superintendent since 2013.
“While there is no other place she would rather work, her priority to God and family at this time in her life must come first,” Perez wrote in an earlier email to district staff (Press-Enterprise). “After much conversation with her family, she has tendered her resignation from San Jacinto Unified.”
The board has appointed former superintendent Shari Fox to the interim position. Fox held the position before Perez for a period of nearly eight years.
