UC Davis Cannabis & Hemp Research Center Names New Directors

The University of California, Davis has named professors Cameron Carter and Li Tian as co-directors of its newly-created Cannabis & Hemp Research Center

Carter is an expert on cannabis’s effects on brain function and development. UC Davis Health lists him as a Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology; Director of the Imaging Research Center; Director of the EDAPT Clinic; Director of Schizophrenia Research and Education Progran; Director of the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence; and Director and Principal Investigator of the UC Davis Conte Center.

Tian is an Associate Professor at the Department of Plant Sciences, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. Her specialties include biochemistry and plant molecular biology. She has authored more than two dozen research papers

UC Davis is among a growing number of universities offering research programs and majors in cannabis and cannabis policy.
