Cal State Fullerton Prepares for a Fall Without Classrooms

In what could be a harbinger of things to come, Cal State Fullerton has announced it is planning for a fall semester online.

“Like every university in America, we are working through the unknowns of the current pandemic as we plan for the fall 2020 semester,” the university said in a statement Tuesday. “To make sure we are prepared for all variables, but with the goal that we can offer in-person instruction, we are asking our faculty to be prepared to start the semester teaching virtually.”

Cal State Fullerton is one of the first universities to acknowledge it’s planning for closed campuses in the fall. It is the only university among the 23 in the Cal State system to make such an announcement so far. Will more follow?
