Del Norte Parents Miffed After “Graphic Images” Shared on Zoom
Parents at Del Norte High School say they have already grown tired of distance learning. The last straw came Wednesday when students were caught sharing graphic images and audio during a Zoom class.
“There a lot of safety issues and concerns,” parent Leslie Erler said, as quoted by the Wild Rivers Outpost. “Our children being exposed to this is not OK. It’s disgusting. I would love to see children back in school.”
The incident appears to have been student-led. DNUSD Superintendent Jeff Harris said the system was not hacked. He added the District will be implementing solutions, but they may require additional training on the part of parents and staff.
DNUSD expects to move toward a blended learning model on Oct. 5, with some distance learning and some in-person learning for K-8.
