Gavin Newsom Announces “Safe Schools for All Hub”
Governor Gavin Newsom announced the new Safe Schools for All Hub last week, where local school districts can access all information about the state’s school reopening plan. This is a “one-stop” that includes a checklist for safety requirements, all state regulations and guidelines assembled in a single document, and a playbook for schools that wish to implement testing.
Newsom announced his Safe Schools for All plan in December. It will offer additional funding to districts that reopen by February and March.
Beginning Jan. 25, schools will be required to provide the state with details about their district’s status. Any positive cases must be reported to the county health department.
