Quoc Tran to Lead Culver City Unified

Quoc Tran has been named superintendent of the Culver City Unified School District. Tran, who currently serves as assistant superintendent of educational services at the Franklin-McKinley School District in San Jose, will succeed retiring schools chief Leslie Lockhart.

Board President Tashon McKeithan said Tran’s selection followed a “exhaustive, transparent and collaborative process.”

“Mr. Tran comes to us with a great deal of experience and a true commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. He will be a true asset to our District,” he added.

Trans holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from Cal State LA. He was formerly the associate superintendent of educational services at Soledad Unified and Alisal Union in Monterey County. He has taught fourth and fifth grade, bilingual (Vietnamese) mathematics, and high school science.
