Andrew Giannini Hired to Lead Colfax Elementary School District

The Colfax Elementary School District has welcomed a new superintendent. Andrew Giannini has 24 years of education experience, most recently serving as a principal in the Dry Creek School District.

“People are my passion and, as superintendent, I will work with all people who will impact our students,” Giannini said. “Parents are the strong bonds that hold our community together and must have a voice in the educational development of our students.  As the superintendent of the district, I will be a trusting and reliable leader to connect all the resources of the community together for the benefit of our students and families.”

CESD is a small district located in the foothills below the Tahoe National Forest. It serves approximately 380 students in preschool through 8th grade.

Giannini will succeed John Baggett, who now leads the Nevada City School District.
