School Board President Resigns Over Raunchy, Booze-Filled Party That Allegedly Featured School Choir
Claremont Unified Board of Education President Steven Llanusa’s November re-election victory has turned out to be short-lived. Llanusa resigned from the school board Saturday amid revelations that he had a high school choir perform at a wild Christmas party featuring alcohol, shirtless men and a “dirty Santa.”
The party took place at Llanusa’s home. Parents allege their children were offered alcohol. One parent said the dirty Santa “made disgusting comments” to the students.
In addition to Llanusa’s resignation, Claremont Police confirm they have opened a criminal investigation.
School Board Vice President Kathy Archer said she and her colleagues “are appalled by the allegations.” She said no other members of the school board were present at the party.
