Former Claremont Unified Trustee to Fill Vacant Seat
A former trustee has returned to fill a vacancy on the Claremont Unified School District Board of Education.
Hilary LaConte was unanimously appointed to the Trustee Area 4 seat last week. She replaces Steven Llanusa, who resigned last month amid allegations that he had a school choir perform at a raunchy, booze-filled holiday party.
Hilary LaConte previously served on the board for 13 years from 2007 to 2020. She was one of 10 applicants for the position.
LaConte is expected to be sworn in Thursday, February 2.
