Teacher Who Spoke Out Against Woke Kindergarten Placed on Leave

A teacher at Glassbrook Elementary School in Hayward has been placed on paid administrative leave after going public with his concerns about a controversial Woke Kindergarten program.

Tiger Craven-Neeley was suspended Thursday after a conference, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. The school cited “unprofessional conduct.”

It’s not clear what transpired during the closed meeting, but it appears to have been tense.

Craven-Neeley says the suspension was retaliation for his comments about the Woke Kindergarten program. Hayward Unified officials would not comment on the suspension, but they told Crisis in the Classroom that the district does not "place employees on leave for retaliatory purposes."
