Doris De La Torre to Lead Multilingual Services at Castro Valley Unified

The Castro Valley Unified School District has hired a new Multilingual Services Director. Doris De La Torre was appointed to the position on March 13.

De La Torre currently serves as Principal of Vannoy Elementary School. She has held that position since 2018. De La Torre also spearheaded CVUSD’s TK-1 Dual Language Immersion Program. During her career, she has worked as a teacher, English learner site coach, response to intervention specialist, and assistant principal.

“Her expertise and experience coupled with her passion will greatly benefit our students,” said Superintendent Parvin Ahmadi.
