Tyler Graff to Lead Ross Valley School District in Marin County

The Ross Valley School District in Marin County will have a new superintendent on July 1. Tyler Graff, who currently serves as director of secondary education at San Rafael City Schools, has been named to the post. His contract is expected to be finalized at the end of May.

School Board President Rachel Litwack said Graff was among 19 candidates for the job. He’ll succeed Marci Trahan, who is retiring.

“During the hiring process, Mr. Graff immediately stood out as someone with the core values, experience and skills we desire,” Litwack said.

“We firmly believe he will serve our students in an equitable and beneficial manner,” she added.

Graff has been with San Rafael Schools for the past six years. He holds a master’s degree from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education and is in the process of obtaining a doctorate from the University of California at Berkeley.
