A handful of private technology companies will be providing 70,000 California students with laptops, tablets and other devices this week, First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom announced at the governor’s press conference Monday.
The new body will “will help facilitate donations, create more publicity, and cast a bigger spotlight on those who can help,” according to a press release.
